Why brands cost different amounts
- Within one brand, the warranty tier sets the price (for example GTECHNIQ at 3, 5 or 7 years).
- Named pro brands cost more than unnamed coatings; one garage sells the same service as a USA or a China-made coating, with a clear price gap.
- Coverage changes the price: exterior only, exterior plus wheels, glass and trims, or inside and out.

How to compare
Nano ceramic or graphene
Nano ceramic coatings form a glass-like layer. Graphene-enhanced coatings add graphene to the formula; listings describe them as slicker, more heat-resistant and less prone to water spots.
What "10H" means
10H is the top of the pencil hardness scale and describes the cured layer. It helps against light wash marks, but a coated car can still be scratched or chipped.
Coverage
Packages range from exterior paint only to exterior plus glass, wheels, trims and lights, and up to interior leather, fabric and plastics. Compare what is included, not only the name of the package.
Preparation
A coating locks in whatever is under it, so swirl marks should be polished out first. Many packages include washing, decontamination and a machine polish; check that yours does.
Warranty tiers
The same coating is often sold in tiers (for example 3, 5 or 7 years). Ask what changes between tiers: the number of layers, the preparation, or the warranty alone, and whether maintenance visits are needed to keep it valid.
Coating over PPF
Some coatings are made to go on top of paint protection film, adding gloss and water-repelling to the film. They are often included in PPF packages.
