Delete Your Account

1. Delete your account from the app

The fastest way is from inside the Garagat.ai app. It takes less than a minute and needs no approval from us:

• Open the Garagat.ai app and sign in
• Go to Profile → Settings
• Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete My Account
• Read the summary of what will be removed, type DELETE to confirm, and submit

Your account is closed immediately and you are signed out on every device.

2. Request deletion without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, email us from the address registered on your account:

• Email: privacy@garagat.ai
• Subject line: Account deletion request
• Include the mobile number registered on the account so we can identify it

We will verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder, then confirm deletion by email. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually far sooner.

3. What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Your profile — name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender and profile photo
• Your saved vehicles, including registration card images and number plate details
• Your saved addresses and any address photographs
• Your favourites — saved garages and saved services
• Your location data
• Your support messages and problem reports
• Your sign-in credentials and all active sessions

4. What we have to keep, and for how long

A small amount of information has to be retained after your account closes, because UAE law requires it or because it no longer identifies you:

• Transaction and invoice records — retained for the period required by UAE tax and commercial law (currently up to 5 years). These are kept for accounting and legal compliance only, and are not used to contact you.
• Reviews you published — reviews are kept but anonymised, so the workshop's rating history stays accurate while the review is no longer linked to you.
• Records we are legally required to preserve — for example where there is an active dispute, a fraud investigation, or a lawful request from a UAE authority.

Everything else is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

5. If you have an active booking

Deletion is blocked while you have a service in progress. This protects both you and the workshop — an active job needs a contactable customer. Wait until the service is complete and settled, or contact support@garagat.ai and we will help you close it out.

6. This cannot be undone

Account deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its history, or its saved vehicles. If you sign up again later, you start with a fresh account.
